Cable, socket, bulb – that's all it takes: Purist lamps, consisting only of a socket, light source, and textile cable, have been one of the major trends in home design in recent years. This timelessly beautiful lamp by the Danish manufacturer Muuto triggered it a good decade ago. It is simply named after the size of its socket, E27, and with its uniform coating of silicone rubber, it is still the most elegant representative of its kind. Designer Mattias Stahlbom created it in eighteen colors ranging from terracotta to medium blue. And they all cut a fine figure both solo and in larger groups. In the latter case, the only question of questions remains: cheerfully mix all the pretty colors or opt for an E27 clan in a single color?
