Jacqueline with flowers is created as a free reinterpretation of Jacqueline with Flowers (1954), oil on canvas by Pablo Picasso. The work arises from a personal memory, from a phase in which I wore short hair. This gesture shows the need to look at myself through another figure, to inhabit a portrait that is not a copy, but a reflection. Jacqueline becomes the mirror: a borrowed presence to tell a moment of change, identity and vulnerability. The flowers remain as a symbol of the changing feminine: tenderness and strength coexist. They are not mere adornment, but emotional accompaniment, a silent language that carries the figure. This work is a dialogue with art history and at the same time an act of self-assertion. A portrait in which personal memory interweaves with collective memory and in which the pictorial past becomes an intimate space of re-examination and truth.
