The set of four nesting tables was designed in 1967 by Mario Bellini for C&B Italia. The Quattro Gatti tables are characterized by their modular and space-saving construction. They can be used individually, nested together, or stacked into a multi-tiered table combination. The tables were made of Fiberlite, a fiberglass-reinforced plastic typical of the innovative furniture design of this era. The original manufacturer's marking is located under each table. The set is predominantly in very good original condition, with age-related signs of use and wear. One of the tables shows a slight clouding on part of the surface.
