This iconic armchair from the Versace Vanitas Collection is a true symbol of luxury and Italian craftsmanship. It was created by Versace Home and embodies timeless elegance through the use of high-quality materials and artisanal manufacturing techniques.
The wooden frame is decorated with hand-applied gold leaf, while the upholstery consists of a printed velvet from the now-discontinued Atelier Versace collection. The fabric features the characteristic black and gold Barocco motifs, which were originally seen in the Gianni Versace collections of 1992.
This armchair is over 30 years old. It was first exhibited in the Versace showroom in Miami before being brought to Milan, where I personally acquired it. Since it is a genuine antique, the natural signs of age only emphasize its charm and historical significance.
The dust cover under the seat has been replaced with a new, higher-quality fabric. However, the original upholstery is in perfect condition.
This rare and highly sought-after piece is no longer in production and is therefore a unique opportunity for collectors and lovers of beautiful design. Since it is completely handmade, it stands in stark contrast to mass-produced furniture and offers incomparable character, quality, and value.
