The Wire table lamp was designed in 1972 by the Danish design icon Verner Panton and was once part of a large Wire collection. Since the death of the famous designer, who not only inspired but also revolutionized the design world with his creations, the manufacturer Verpan has worked closely with the Panton family to resurrect many of his spectacular designs. The Wire table lamp resembles a work of art more than a lamp. The steel wire rising from bottom to top forms the base of the table lamp and eventually shapes into a hemisphere, which is completed into a spherical form by a hemispherical plastic shade. The socket (E14 for the small version and E27 for the large version) is mounted inside the frame. A reflector on the underside of the socket radiates the light onto the inside of the plastic shade, creating a diffused, scattered light. This unusual table lamp is the perfect companion throughout the day. By day as a sculpture and eye-catcher, and in the evening as cozy lighting. The small Wire table lamp is particularly suitable as a bedside lamp, whereas the large Wire lamp can be used as both a table and a floor lamp.
