About the book: This book introduces the work of Paul Klee, one of the most important modern painters of the 20th century. The Swiss-born artist combined Cubism, Expressionism, and Surrealism into a style all his own in his idiosyncratic paintings of geometric landscapes, childlike stick figures, and cryptic symbols.
Biography: Susanna Partsch (born 1952) studied art history in Heidelberg and worked at the Wilhelm-Hack-Museum in Ludwigshafen from 1980 to 1985. Since then, she has lived as a freelance author in Munich and has written books on Rembrandt, Gustav Klimt, Franz Marc, and Paul Klee, among others.
