About the Book
The Wiener Werkstätte (1903–1933) was an avant-garde alliance of artists and designers dedicated to craftsmanship, integrating all areas of life into a harmonious total work of art. Under the leadership of Josef Hoffmann, Koloman Moser, and Fritz Waerndorfer, they created furniture, ceramics, textiles, typography, and buildings such as the Purkersdorf Sanatorium or the Palais Stoclet. Despite its short existence, the Werkstätte had a lasting influence on the development of Art Deco and Bauhaus and remains a model for stylistic integrity.
