Light art instead of artificial light: With their three-flame AIM LED pendant luminaire, the designer brothers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec created a revolutionary design object for FLOS in 2013 that redefines room design with light – because it questions outdated basic assumptions of lighting design. Because it offers new possibilities in room composition. And because it looks liberatingly good. Its secret: On the one hand, the AIM pendant luminaire rejects the idea that main lighting must be installed centrally in the room. And on the other hand, it refuses to hide its cable shamefully, and instead elevates it to an essential design element. Free from conventions, the AIM can be installed wherever its light is needed, staging its suspension as a cheerful cable forest with impetuous lines. In this way, the swiveling luminaire heads of the AIM LED pendant luminaire can be attached at any height and with an individual beam angle, which allows for countless combinations and, thanks to the diffusers made of optical polycarbonate, enables focused illumination of both individual objects and entire living spaces. The AIM pendant luminaire from FLOS is supplied with permanently installed light sources, which can be dimmed with suitable accessories.
