Biography: Luigi Ficacci studied art history in Rome with Giulio Carlo Argan. He was a curator at the Istituto Nazionale per la Grafica in Rome for many years, as well as Director General of museums in Bologna and Lucca, and taught at several Italian universities. Until 2021, he was Director of the Central Institute for Restoration in Rome. His work focuses on the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as contemporary Italian and European art.
