CHIPPENSTEEL is a seating object by Oskar Zięta, created through controlled deformation of metal. The material reacts to the given form, creating a structure that, despite its cool surface, unfolds a soft, textile-like effect. Each chair individually highlights the properties of steel, copper, or aluminum. The design is based on numerous experiments and its form is reminiscent of classic English upholstered armchairs from the 18th century. Production involves laser cutting, welding, and inflating metal sheets, creating a three-dimensional seating surface. CHIPPENSTEEL combines modern manufacturing technology with historical design elements and stands for the combination of design, technology, and craftsmanship precision.

Zieta Studio is a design studio that shapes metal in an innovative way. Using its proprietary FiDU technology, the team "inflates" flat metal parts, creating lightweight, stable, and unique objects.
