Ursprünglich hat Verner Panton den Sessel Cone Chair für das dänische Restaurant Kom Igen („komm zurück” auf Dänisch) entworfen.
Geometrische Formen stehen hier im Fordergund: Der Cone Chair, wie sein Name schon sagt, ist einem Kegel, der auf der Spitze steht, nachempfunden. Eine kreisförmige Verlängerung, die sich auf einer Hälfte des Oberteils befindet, bildet die Rückenlehne, welche genau wie die Sitzfläche angenehm gepolstert ist. Der gesamte Korpus ist mit Stoff bezogen und steht auf einem dezenten Fußkreuz.
