In den 1960er Jahren produzierte der italienische Hersteller Comfort mit Sitz in Meda bei Mailand mehrere Entwürfe von Joe Colombo, darunter die Kunststoff-Liegestühle Elda und Supercomfort (beide 1964). Später setzte die Firma Fratelli Longhi die Tradition von Comfort fort und produzierte Colombos Liegestühle Elda und Astrea (1963) sowie Mario Brunus Liege Rodica (1968). Nach 1981 wurde der Supercomfort vorübergehend von Bieffeplast produziert und ist im Produktkatalog der B-Line unter seinem ursprünglichen Namen Superleggera zu finden.
