About the Book: Entryways of Milan documents 144 of the most beautiful Milanese entrance halls from 1920 to 1970 – transitional areas between inside and outside, designed by architects such as Giovanni Muzio, Gio Ponti and Piero Portaluppi.

The photographs are by Delfino Sisto Legnani (Milan), Matthew Billings (Berlin) and Paola Pansini (Milan), who serve international exhibitions, magazines and architectural firms such as Armani, Prada and David Chipperfield Architects.

Contributions to Italian design and architectural history are provided by Brian Kish, Daniel Sherer, Fabrizio Ballabio, Grazia Signori, Lisa Hockemeyer and Penny Sparke.

The book was edited by Karl Kolbitz, a Berlin-based editor and art director who previously worked with Mario Testino and Wolfgang Tillmans, among others.
