Others are Sumak, flat-woven carpets with an embroidered appearance on the front and loose ends on the back. Originally, Kilims and Sumaks were multifunctional, used in front of doors, to cover camels or horses, or as tent roofs, to cover dining tables, or to sleep on. These carpets were well maintained or refurbished.
