Senneh is the old name for the modern city of Sanandaj. The carpets originating from the city and from nomads or peasants from the surrounding region are known as Senneh carpets. These double-sided kilims feature the typical Kilim slit weave. They have small patterns with designs such as bouquets of roses and tree or floral motifs in rows. Traditional Mahi motifs can also be found, as can a large central field, often with a rhombus in different colors.
The siblings Vida and Amin combine their passion for craftsmanship and contemporary design to curate unique, handmade carpets. The pieces are knotted and woven by talented knotters, some of whom still live as nomads and produce them in traditional handwork on wooden looms. Their knowledge, their experience and their individual style flow into each piece. Each carpet is made from natural vintage materials and yarn, authentic, timeless and tells its own story. At COCOLI you will find handmade unique pieces from Rugtales – designed with attention to detail and created to enrich spaces.
A handmade unique piece – designed and made by experienced knotters who combine centuries-old tradition with personal style. Crafted from sustainable, natural materials.
