Moud Mahi rugs are manufactured in the East Iranian city of Moud. They are known for fine knotting on a cotton base made of high-quality wool, usually short-cut and often mixed with silk to highlight details in the patterns. The most common background color is white, while rust and blue are classic dominant color features. Typically, floral patterns known as "Mahi" are repeated in these rugs.
