About the Book: Peter Lindbergh and Azzedine Alaïa, the photographer and the couturier, were united by their shared love for the color black, which they interpreted in their own personal way – in legendary photographs and in breathtaking dresses. As a companion volume to the exhibition Peter Lindbergh. Azzedine Alaïa at the Fondation Azzedine Alaïa in Paris, this book celebrates a unique artistic partnership.
Biography: Peter Lindbergh was one of the most important fashion and portrait photographers. His name is forever etched in the history of photography, primarily through an iconic Vogue cover of a group of young women who would soon become the supermodels of the 90s. His work has been shown in solo exhibitions at Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart, Berlin, at the Bunkamura Museum in Tokyo, at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, Moscow, and at the Kunstpalast, Düsseldorf.
