Rizbaf are particularly fine Gabbeh carpets with an increased knot density. These handmade high-pile carpets come from the Gashghai and Lori nomads. Hand-spun wool is often used for their production, giving the carpet a lively and coarse surface texture. At the same time, the surface is soft and comfortable, ideal for rooms where you like to walk barefoot. Rizbaf carpets are available not only in natural, monochrome color tones but also in colorful and imaginative designs. Stylized patterns from the daily life of the nomads, depicting animals, plants, or landscapes, are typical, as are geometric motifs.
