His works are in the collections of many museums, including the Houston Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of the City of New York, and the 9/11 Memorial Museum. His numerous awards include the Alfred Eisenstaedt Award for Magazine Photography and a Top Ten placement on TIME Magazine's "Photo of the Year 2012" list.
Lyle Rexer is a New York-based writer, curator, and art critic. He writes for Photograph magazine and many others, such as Art in America, Aperture, and Modern Painters. His books include The Edge of Vision: The Rise of Abstraction in Photography and How to Look at Outsider Art. A Rhodes Scholar, he is a member of the faculty at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
