Of course, the American "girlie" magazines of the 1940s and 1950s weren't allowed to show much anyway, but Harrison did what he could, luring his readers with crazy photo adventures and colorful cover images of seductive "bad girls," painted by pin-up artists like Earl Moran, Billy DeVorss, and – the most famous among them – Peter Driben. This edition contains all the cover images of the magazines Beauty Parade, Wink, Titter, Eyeful, Flirt, and Whisper and lots of burlesque picture stories with strippers and starlets, including the young Bettie Page.
