About the Book: By merging traditional Japanese design language with Western concrete modernism, the award-winning self-taught architect Tadao Ando has developed a completely novel aesthetic of building. Among the more recent projects in this updated homage to the master of minimalism and exciting dramaturgy are the Poly Theater in Shanghai, the Clark Center at the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown (Massachusetts), and an artist's residency in Puerto Escondido, Mexico.
