CHIPPENSTEEL is a seating object by Oskar ZiΔta, created through controlled deformation of metal. The material reacts to the given form and produces a structure that, despite its cool surface, unfolds a soft, textile-like effect. The design is based on numerous experiments and its form is reminiscent of classic 18th-century English upholstered armchairs. Production involves laser cutting, welding, and inflating metal sheets, creating a three-dimensional seating surface.
