Biography: Harry Benson has photographed every US president since Eisenhower, he documented the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s and was next to Robert Kennedy when he was murdered. Many outstanding portraits of celebrities such as the Beatles, the Queen, Elizabeth Taylor and Michael Jackson come from Benson's camera. In 2009, the native Scot, who lives in New York and Florida, was appointed Commander of the British Empire (CBE).
Reuel Golden, former editor-in-chief of the British Journal of Photography, is Editor for Photography at TASCHEN.
