Isole, a sofa jointly developed by Nendo and Nichetto, was created virtually through a creative remote exchange of ideas, inspired by the traditional Japanese poetry form Tanka, in which one person begins the poem and the other completes it. The name "Isole", meaning "islands" in Italian, is reflected in a unique, modular sofa design consisting of individual components.
