The candle holder dates from the 1960s and was designed by Einar Johansen for the well-known Danish manufactory Søholm Keramik. It is finished in navy blue and brown tones and decorated with a geometric relief pattern. A great collector's item of Danish design from the mid-20th century.
Søholm is a traditional Danish ceramic manufactory, known for its high-quality stoneware pieces with distinctive glazes and organic shapes. Especially popular are the designs from the 1950s to the 1970s, which combine Scandinavian Mid-Century style with artisanal precision and artistic expression. Earthy color tones, textured surfaces, and decorative reliefs are characteristic.
