Guldkrokens Keramik, also known as Guldkroken Hjo, was founded in 1946 in Hjo, Sweden, by Bengt Oscar and MΓ€rtha Grunditz. Initially started as a ceramics and wood workshop, the company developed in the 1960s and 1970s into a well-known producer of glazed tableware, decorative vases, candle holders, and figures. Production encompassed a mix of hand-thrown and cast forms, frequently painted by artists such as Γ ke and MΓ€rtha Grunditz, Lasse Frisk, Leslie Jean, and Bengt, as well as GΓΆsta LΓΆthman. Guldkroken gained popularity in the 1970s and 1980s, particularly through the sales branch "Red Shed" in Hjo and its own glassworks area, before the family sold the operation in 1988.
