Senneh is the old name for the modern city of Sanandaj. The carpets originating from the city and from nomads or farmers from the surrounding region are known as Senneh carpets. These double-sided kilims feature the typical kilim slit weave. They have small patterns with designs such as bouquets of roses and tree or floral motifs arranged in rows. Traditional Mahi motifs may also occur, as well as a large central field, often with a rhombus in different colors.
