The LC4 Chaise Lounge by Cassina, designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, and Pierre Jeanneret, is upholstered in black leather and rests on an elegant black frame. It is considered a design icon and is exhibited in many museums. With its timeless style, it complements any interior and brings a touch of nostalgia. A special highlight for all who appreciate unique and stylish furnishings.
The low serial number 18236 indicates a production year around 1980. Despite its age, the chaise lounge is in excellent condition: the leather shows no cracks, all tension straps are intact, and the chrome is perfectly preserved. Particularly noteworthy are the original, robust rubber straps – unlike today's textile straps, which need regular replacement, these are still taut and like new. The padding also shows only minimal patina. The leather is impeccable here as well.
Cassina was founded in 1927 and revolutionized furniture design in Italy in the 1950s by combining craftsmanship and industrial manufacturing.
