The Plane Drop Chandelier by Tom Dixon is a pendant lamp that captivates with its strict geometry and clear simplicity. The kinetic luminaire body consists of seven movable, copper-plated steel elements, each provided with two glass spheres. These are arranged vertically on a level and conclude with a centrally positioned sphere.
The interplay of geometry and reflective surfaces creates an optical illusion that lends the luminaire a special character. Thanks to its vertical orientation, the Plane Drop Chandelier is particularly suitable for staircases or high rooms, where it can unfold its full effect.
