About the book: His often explicit nude photographs, which address gender issues, have made Ren Hang the most prominent representative of China's young generation of photographers. Completed shortly before his suicide, this monograph traces the far too short career of the Beijing shooting star and shows a variety of previously unpublished images.

Biography: Chinese photographer Ren Hang (1987–2017) was born in Changchun, Jilin Province, and lived and worked in Beijing. Over the course of his six-year career, Hang gained an international fan base with his surreal, at times disturbing images, which often addressed gender issues.
