Rizbaf are particularly fine Gabbeh carpets with an increased knot density. These handmade high-pile carpets originate from the Gashghai and Lori nomads. Hand-spun wool is often used for their production, which gives the carpet a vibrant and coarse surface texture. At the same time, the surface is soft and comfortable, ideal for rooms where you like to move barefoot. Rizbaf carpets are available not only in natural, monochrome shades but also in colorful and imaginative designs. Stylized patterns from the daily life of the nomads, depicting animals, plants or landscapes, as well as geometric motifs, are typical.
