Rizbaf are particularly fine Gabbeh carpets with an increased knot density. They are traditionally handcrafted by the Gashghai and Lori nomads. Hand-spun wool is often used, which gives the carpet a vibrant and slightly coarse structure. At the same time, the surface is pleasantly soft and ensures a cozy feeling – ideal for rooms where you like to move barefoot. Rizbaf carpets are available not only in natural, monochrome shades but also in colorful and imaginative designs. Typical patterns incorporate elements from the daily life of nomads, such as animals, plants, or landscapes, and are often combined with geometric shapes.
