Das Roche Bobois Bubble Sofa wurde von Sacha Lakic entworfen, einem Designer mit einer Leidenschaft für Spitzentechnologien. Bubble ist eine Hommage an das Gleichgewicht zwischen Innovation, Funktion und Emotion. Inspiriert von natürlichen Formen und vollständig von Hand gefertigt, erforderte dieses Design die Entwicklung eines in alle drei Richtungen dehnbaren Stoffes (3D), der aus einem schwarzen Jersey beklebt mit Wabenwolle besteht. Das Sofa ist äußerst bequem, nicht zu hart und nicht zu weich.

Roche Bobois wurde 1950 in Paris von Jacques Roche gegründet, der später von seinen Söhnen Philippe und François unterstützt wurde. Die Partnerschaft mit den Gebrüdern Chouchan begann 1960, als sie gemeinsam das Möbelunternehmen Roche Bobois gründeten. In den 1970er Jahren reagierte Roche Bobois auf die steigende Nachfrage nach bequemen Sofas und entwarf zusammen mit Hans Hopfer das vielseitige Sofa Mah Jong, das bis heute ein Bestseller ist. Mit Kollektionen wie Les Provinciales und Les Voyages setzte die Möbelmarke auf Innovation. Heute ist Roche Bobois mit über 250 Geschäften in 50 Ländern vertreten und hat mit namhaften Designern und Modehäusern wie Jean Paul Gaultier und Missoni zusammengearbeitet.
