Table Mirror C3 Stainless Steel Inox Polished Silver

The TAFLA mirrors from Zieta Studio are created using the innovative FiDU technology, where metal is freely deformed under internal pressure. The result are objects of great strength and, at the same time, a fine, subtle structure. Like the studio's first mirrors, TAFLA is also monomaterial and made entirely of stainless steel – an expression of the pure power and magic of steel.

The TAFLA C series interprets the water droplet in an avant-garde way. Its objects possess distinctive, unmistakable contours, created by the free deformation of the metal. The irregular edges make each piece unique and transform the mirrors into narratives about reflections – individually or arranged in constellations.

The production is based on Oskar Zięta's research into metal deformation. Two thin, laser-cut stainless steel plates are precisely welded and then inflated with compressed air. This volumetric expansion gives TAFLA C its final three-dimensional form with characteristic deformations at the edges.
