The TAFLA mirrors from Zieta Studio are created using the innovative **FiDU technology**, where metal is freely deformed under internal pressure. The result is objects of great strength and, at the same time, a fine, subtle structure. Like the studio's first mirrors, TAFLA is also monomaterial and made entirely of stainless steel β an expression of the pure power and magic of steel.
The **TAFLA C** series interprets the water droplet in an avant-garde way. Its objects possess striking, unmistakable contours, created by the free deformation of the metal. The irregular edges make each piece unique and transform the mirrors into narratives about reflections β individually or arranged in constellations.
The production is based on Oskar ZiΔta's research into metal deformation. Two thin, laser-cut stainless steel plates are precisely welded and then inflated with compressed air. Through this volumetric expansion, TAFLA C receives its final three-dimensional shape with characteristic deformations at the edges.
**Technical Details**
Zieta Studio is a design studio that shapes metal in an innovative way. Using its proprietary FiDU technology, the team "inflates" flat metal parts, creating lightweight, stable, and unique objects. Art, technology, and material research are closely intertwined in this process. The studio emphasizes sustainable work, uses durable metals, and produces many of its objects from a single material. This results in furniture and sculptures that are modern, characterful, and functional all at once.
Good quality. There are super small scratches on the mirror surface very laterally, which are however barely noticeable.
