Biography: Justinian Jampol is the founder and executive director of the Wende Museum in Los Angeles. His work focuses on Visual Cultural Studies and the connection between contemporary art and the iconography of the Cold War. Jampol studied at the University of California, Los Angeles, and earned his doctorate in Modern History from Oxford University. He has curated several exhibitions, produced two documentaries on the Cold War, and realized various urban art projects, including The Wall Project. His articles and work have been published or recognized in The Atlantic, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, and The New York Times.
