About the Book: This album presents over 500 eye-catchers among vinyl records. From picture discs and brightly colored pressings to Soviet bootlegs on X-ray images, fluorescent records, and those with holograms – embark on a journey through Vinylland and discover a world of colors and shapes that appears kaleidoscopic.

Biography: Alessandro Benedetti began collecting extraordinary vinyl records in 1981 and now has approx. 8000 pieces, including approx. 1200 colored ones. In 1998, his collection of colored vinyl albums was recognized in the Guinness Book of Records. His dream is to open a record museum so that he can make his collection accessible to the public. The Italian music producer, songwriter, and singer Giorgio Moroder has worked with some of the most successful stars in the world, including Donna Summer, David Bowie, Janet Jackson, Barbra Streisand, and many others. Moroder is also the founder of the former Musicland Studios in Munich, where legendary acts such as Led Zeppelin, Queen, and Elton John recorded their albums. Peter Bastine has worked as a disc jockey, record dealer, and concert promoter. From 1977 to 1998, he collected all types of picture discs, then primarily historical 78 rpm records made of shellac, plastic, and cardboard. His collection today comprises around 8000 picture discs and has been the subject of numerous exhibitions in Europe.
