Biography: Pierre Restany (1930-2003) studied in France, Italy, and Ireland. From 1963 onwards, he worked for the art and architecture magazine domus, and from 1985, he managed the magazine D’ARS. His encounter with Yves Klein in 1955 led him to the theory of "Nouveau Réalisme" in 1960 and to the founding of the artist group of the same name. He published numerous publications on 20th-century art.
