Biography: Marieke de Winkel studied Art History and Classical Archaeology in Amsterdam as well as Costume History at the Courtauld Institute, London. From 1993 to 2003, she was a research fellow at the Rembrandt Research Project and earned her doctorate in 2003 on costume in Rembrandt's work.
Rudie van Leeuwen studied Art History in Nijmegen and earned his doctorate in 2018 on the portrait historié in Dutch painting of the 16th and 17th centuries. He was a co-initiator and collaborator of the Rembrandt Documents Project (RemDoc.org) and designed, among other things, the integral search function.
Volker Manuth studied Art History, Philosophy, and Classical Archaeology in Kiel, Bonn, and Berlin. After a doctorate on the iconography of the Old Testament in Rembrandt, he was, among other things, a professor at Queen's University, Canada, and has been teaching at Radboud University in Nijmegen since 2003.
