About the Book: Rembrandt's drawings and etchings earned him unqualified admiration from his contemporaries, as he captured elusive moods and moments with just a few strokes. On the occasion of the artist's 350th anniversary of death, this XXL monograph brings together Rembrandt's complete graphic oeuvre for the first time – all 708 drawings for the very first time in brilliant color illustrations, as well as 314 first-class reproduced etchings.

Biography: Erik Hinterding studied art history at Utrecht University and received his doctorate on Rembrandt as an etcher. He has contributed to numerous publications and exhibitions, including for the Fondation Custodia in Paris, the Scuderie del Quirinale in Rome, the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, and the National Museum of Western Art in Tokyo. He is one of the two authors of the New Hollstein catalogue raisonné of Rembrandt's etchings from 2013. Since 2012, he has been a curator at the Amsterdam Rijksmuseum, where he oversees the collection of early modern prints. Peter Schatborn was head of the Rijksprentenkabinet at the Amsterdam Rijksmuseum and a visiting lecturer at the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles. He has curated exhibitions for the Frick Collection in New York and the Fondation Custodia in Paris, among others. The focus of his research is 17th-century Dutch drawings.
