About the Book: Walter Chandoha's extraordinary legacy as the world's greatest pet photographer lives on in this follow-up volume to his critically acclaimed Cats. The volume features over 60 dog breeds, captured in diverse styles and settings, including color studio portraits, black-and-white street scenes, animals roaming freely in nature, or dog shows from the 1950s to the 1970s. Each image brims with tenderness and empathy for these charming canines.
Biography: Walter Chandoha (1920–2019) was a war photographer in World War II before a chance encounter with a cat set him on a completely new path. The images of the "father of cat photography" appeared on over 300 magazine covers and in thousands of advertisements, posters, and T-shirts, as well as a giant Kodak Colorama in New York's Grand Central Station.
