The Table with Arepa originates from the original work created in Chiavari for the Latin American Osteria "La Mérica". The work tells of the encounter of two migrants at a table, with Chiavari and the Genoese *caruggi* (alleys) serving as silent witnesses to the fusion taking place at that moment. The arepa becomes a symbol of home, memory, and shared identity, while the Italian space receives and transforms the narrative. It is a fleeting moment in which cultures recognize each other, mix, and enter into dialogue, thus creating a new visual language born from the encounter. The work celebrates the crossing of roots and paths, of Latin America and the Mediterranean, where table, food, and city function as emotional and cultural bridges. On this page: the arepa.

Anna Gabriella Herrera Caverzan, the creative force behind Randomlovers, is a Venezuelan-Italian multidisciplinary artist based in Barcelona. She specializes in bespoke artworks, illustrations, and animations and has been designing brand narratives and artistic experiences since 2010. Her extensive portfolio includes consulting and creation for brands and individuals, combining art, strategy, and storytelling.
