These rugs are made in the province of Khorasan. The design comes from the province of Nain in central Iran, near the Dasht-e Kavir salt desert. Nains are known for their color scheme white/beige and light blue/dark blue. The pile is a blend of wool and mercerized cotton, which is soft with a beautiful sheen.
