Kelim Gashgai Wool Multicolored

This Kilim originates from the traditional environment of the Gashgai, a Turkic-speaking nomadic community from the region around Shiraz in southwestern Iran. Characteristic of these carpets is the double-sided usable, flat-woven slit weave, which creates small weaving slits through color changes. The design includes classic Gashgai motifs such as rhombuses, squares, stripes, and Caucasian star shapes. For the color palette, traditionally strong natural tones such as blue, yellow, red, green, and beige are used, which give the carpet its vibrant, authentic appeal.
